The purpose of these sessions is to promote a greater understanding of the Holocaust in the context of a history of Anti-Semitism and the unprecedented nature of this event. This course will look at the history of the Holocaust and the roles of perpetrators, bystanders, rescuers and victims as persons.

The purpose of these sessions is to promote a greater understanding of the Holocaust in the context of a history of Anti-Semitism and the unprecedented nature of this event. This course will look at the history of the Holocaust and the roles of perpetrators, bystanders, rescuers and victims as persons.

Facilitators and teachers are Chris Anderson, a pastor in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, who completed a course of study at Yad Vashem in Jerusalem, and Rabbi Alan Alpert of Congregation B’nai Israel. Both serve as co-chairs of the Shoah Remembrance Committee, and are members of the Midwest Consortium for Holocaust Educators.
